Pentre explores AI and software for operational excellence
Pentre Group will be attending SAP NOW AI Tour UKI at the NEC Birmingham on 22 October 2026, as we explore how AI and software could support the next steps in our operational development.
We already use SAP Business One and are actively looking at opportunities to streamline processes and reporting. Attending the event will give us a chance to learn about developments in business software, hear practical examples and consider what could be relevant to the way Pentre works.
Our interest is in improvements that have a clear purpose.
Could a task take fewer steps?
Could a report be easier to prepare or interpret?
Could information be made more accessible to the people who need it?
SAP’s event brings together business leaders, specialists and industry peers, with customer examples, demonstrations and discussions about AI. We’re looking forward to learning from those experiences and asking questions about how businesses are approaching adoption in practice.
For Pentre, operational excellence includes the systems and processes behind our manufacturing activities. Keeping up with advances in technology helps us understand the options available and make better-informed decisions about where further investigation could be worthwhile.
Learning from other organisations will also help us look beyond individual software features. We want to understand the practical work involved in making changes, how improvements are evaluated and how new approaches fit into established ways of working.
Our visit is part of that exploration. We’ll be listening for ideas that could help us simplify everyday work and improve the usefulness of our reporting, with a view to identifying sensible next steps for Pentre.
We’re looking forward to a day of useful conversations, practical insight and fresh thinking about the future of business operations.
